ProVeg seeks creative minds for Kickstarting For Good incubator
Bright ideas for transforming the food system are being sought by ProVeg International, which has opened applications for its Kickstarting For Good incubation program, which has been specifically designed for nonprofit organiszations and impact initiatives looking to drive meaningful change in food sustainability. Applications are open until 30 April 2025.
“Kickstarting For Good is a very exciting program aimed at bringing about positive change to the food system, and we hope this latest call for applications will inspire many people to come forward with their ideas,” commented Sebastian Joy, Founding President of ProVeg International.
Joy explained that the program seeks promising individuals with the potential to become changemakers and disruptors but who may lack the necessary training, knowledge, or connections to bring their visions to life. “The Kickstarting For Good program will provide an abundance of resources, guidance, and support to realize their visions, and there will be opportunities for one-to-one sessions in Berlin as well,” he added.

The fully-funded program is designed to equip participants with the skills, theory, and mindset required to launch high-impact initiatives. Participants will receive mentorship from leading experts, with the program culminating in a final pitch day at ProVeg International’s headquarters in Berlin. Travel and accommodation expenses for in-person weeks in Berlin will be covered.
During the final pitch day, a jury of experts and industry professionals will award prizes of US$50,000, US$40,000, US$30,000, US$20,000, and US$10,000, with every graduating initiative receiving a minimum of US$5,000 in seed funding.
Applications for the third cohort opened on 5 March 2025. Candidates must complete the application form on the Kickstarting For Good website to be considered.
The initiative has already helped launch several successful projects. Among them is the Animal and Vegan Advocacy (AVA) Summit, founded in 2022 and now a global event series under Julia Reinelt’s leadership, set to attract around 2,000 visitors from 70 countries across four major events in the next year. Another success story is Vegan Business Circle International, which originated in Budapest and is now expanding across five more European cities, fostering a strong regional plant-based business network. Additionally, three members of the 2024 cohort co-founded the Farm Adaptation Network, which supports farmers transitioning away from animal agriculture. Through the incubator, they successfully secured over US$100,000 in seed funding to launch the initiative.
