Coolty Meat launches 'world’s first' complete dog food made with cultivated meat
FORZA10 has introduced Coolty Meat, a complete wet dog food containing cultivated meat, at Interzoo 2026 in Nuremberg, marking what the company described as the world’s first commercial launch of complete pet food based on cultivated meat.
• FORZA10 introduced Coolty Meat at Interzoo 2026, describing it as the world’s first complete wet dog food containing cultivated meat to reach commercial launch.
• The monoprotein formulation contained 26% cultivated meat supplied by BeneMeat and was developed for dogs with food intolerances.
• BeneMeat confirmed the launch marked the first commercial application of cultivated meat technology in the European Union pet food sector.
The product, developed under the newly established Coolty Meat brand, contains cultivated meat supplied by Czech biotech company BeneMeat, which acted as the technology partner and feed ingredient supplier for the launch.
Presented on 12 May at the international pet industry trade fair, Coolty Meat was introduced as a complete wet dog food designed for digestibility, with a particular focus on dogs with food intolerances. The formulation contains 26% cultivated meat and has been developed as a monoprotein product free from antibiotics, hormones, and preservatives.
“Our goal is to work long-term with the cleanest possible protein sources and to offer solutions for dogs with food intolerances. Cultivated meat allows us to combine high nutritional quality, digestibility, and safety in a single ingredient,” said Gianandrea Guidetti, representative of the FORZA10 brand. “Our collaboration with BeneMeat has enabled us to work with an innovative ingredient that aligns with our focus on quality and a scientific approach to animal nutrition.”
BeneMeat was founded in 2020 and has developed an end-to-end cultivated meat platform covering cell lines, cultivation media, bioprocessing, and scalable manufacturing. In 2023, the company fulfilled the requirements to legally produce and market cultivated meat as a raw material for pet food in the European Union.
Since then, BeneMeat has carried out product tests and trials with external partners to assess safety and nutritional performance. The launch with FORZA10 represents the first commercial application of its cultivated meat technology in the EU pet food segment.

“Forza 10 is a perfect fit for BeneMeat. Their strong position in the market and intention to grow in pet food segments with added value is an ideal combination with our complete biotech knowledge. Pet owners will soon have another high-quality protein option available to them, one that is safe, healthy, defined, ethical and environmentally friendly,” said Roman Kriz, CEO of BeneMeat.
The cultivated meat used in Coolty Meat is real animal meat produced by cultivating animal cells in a controlled environment, without raising or slaughtering animals. BeneMeat and FORZA10 presented the ingredient as offering precise control over quality, composition, and safety, while also reducing environmental impact and offering hypoallergenic properties.
FORZA10, an Italian pet food brand with 30 years of experience in scientifically driven nutrition for dogs and cats, has focused heavily on formulations for food intolerances and specific nutritional needs. Since 2021, it has been part of Nasta Pet Food, an international family-owned group founded in France in 2016.
Nasta Pet Food’s portfolio includes Bab’in, FORZA10, Natural Code, and FirstMate, with distribution across more than 30 markets worldwide. The group described its strategy as combining nature, science, and taste across ultra-premium pet nutrition brands.
“FORZA10 is a brand that has long been committed to a scientific approach to animal nutrition, which is why this collaboration makes perfect sense to us,” said Jan Luprich, Business Development Director at BeneMeat. “We believe this partnership demonstrates what the future of pet food can look like.”
BeneMeat has also been developing cell lines optimized for human consumption and working with commercial partners to prepare for future market entry once the necessary regulatory approvals are secured.
“We aim to be a partner for manufacturers who want to bring cultivated meat into real-world applications. We have scalable technology that can be directly implemented into their production systems, and we guarantee its safety and quality. We leave the final commercialization to our partners, as it is their primary expertise,” said Simone Stringhetti, Clinical Studies Coordinator at BeneMeat.
At Interzoo, FORZA10 presented the product at the Nasta Pet Food Family booth in Hall 7A, while BeneMeat exhibited separately in Hall 10. Visitors to both stands were able to learn more about cultivated meat technology and its applications in pet nutrition.
