The Cultured Hub appoints Erika Georget as managing director

January 11, 2026

The Cultured Hub has confirmed a leadership transition, with Erika Georget appointed as Managing Director effective 1 February 2026. She will succeed Yannick Jones, who will step down after three and a half years leading the organization.

Yannick Jones stepped down after 3.5 years leading The Cultured Hub.
Erika Georget was appointed Managing Director effective February 1, 2026.
Georget brought 15 years of experience in food technology, bioprocessing, and innovation.

Jones led The Cultured Hub through its establishment and development as a biotech hub focused on cellular agriculture. During his tenure, the organization built dedicated infrastructure, established partnerships, and delivered projects supporting companies operating in the cellular agriculture ecosystem.

Commenting on the leadership handover, Jones said: “I am excited to hand over The Cultured Hub keys to Erika with confidence that it is in very good hands.”

Georget brought more than 15 years of experience across food technology, bioprocessing, and innovation. She was closely involved in building Bühler Group’s biotechnology strategy and knowledge base and previously led ERIDIA, a process engineering company created to support companies in fermentation and cellular agriculture as they worked to industrialize their processes.

In a statement shared following the announcement, Georget said: “As of February, I will be stepping into the role of Managing Director at The Cultured Hub, where we empower entrepreneurs to harness animal and plant cell culture for sustainable food, cosmetics, and material production.”

She outlined the organization’s focus going forward, adding: “Our mission is clear: enable and accelerate the scaling of cell agriculture, fast, economical and at full potential.”

The leadership change was also acknowledged by Fabio Campanile, who thanked Jones for his contributions and welcomed Georget to the role. “We thank Yannick for his outstanding contributions. He has created a fantastic biotech centre and ecosystem,” Campanile said. “We warmly welcome Erika. Her deep industry knowledge, startup network and proven leadership will strengthen TCH’s position as a global partner for players leveraging cellular agriculture.”

The Cultured Hub said the leadership transition reflected continuity in its mission to support companies working with animal and plant cell culture technologies. No further operational or strategic changes were disclosed in connection with the appointment.

Jones moved on to a new chapter following the handover, while Georget prepared to assume responsibility for The Cultured Hub’s activities from the start of February 2026.
