New management team at Handtmann Processing
The Handtmann Filling and Portioning Systems division, part of the diversified Handtmann Group based in Biberach, Upper Swabia, Germany, has taken the next step in its strategic development by renaming itself Handtmann Processing. The change reflects the company's evolving focus on delivering sustainable, comprehensive processing solutions to the global food industry under the guiding principle of 'Leading in Processing'. The accompanying slogan 'Connecting Orange' underscores Handtmann's emphasis on collaborative, international partnerships.
As part of this strategic repositioning, the company has introduced a new leadership structure, effective 1 March 2025. The executive management team, led by CEO/CSO Harald Suchanka and CTO/COO Dr Mark Betzold, has been expanded with four newly appointed Vice Presidents. Martin Staudenrausch now leads Global Technology, while Romina Müller takes on the role of Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. Stefan Rampf assumes responsibility for Global Finance & Controlling, and Ralf Jedrysiak oversees Global Supply Chain Management. The company’s international production facilities remain under the direction of Dr Betzold.
Commenting on the changes, Harald Suchanka stated, "The strong organic and inorganic growth of the division over the past few years has made it necessary to establish cross-location and cross-functional leadership roles. Our goal is to evolve and enhance our organizational structures and processes both within departments and across the company as a whole."
Dr Betzold added, "With the formation of the new leadership team, we are not only driving efficiency and unlocking further potential, but also implementing a framework that provides the transparency needed to measure performance. By linking local and global operations at our production sites, we create synergies that benefit the market."
The newly expanded management team is committed to building on Handtmann Processing's 70-year legacy, bringing a modern leadership approach and culture to support the division's continued evolution. With around 1,650 employees worldwide – 700 of whom are based at headquarters in Biberach – Handtmann is present in over 100 countries through subsidiaries and strategic partnerships.
The company is recognized as a leading provider of line solutions in food processing, offering technologies that span from product preparation to downstream interface solutions such as thermal processing and packaging, often in collaboration with strategic partners. This integrated approach allows Handtmann to deliver complete, conceptual solutions to its customers. The product portfolio is further enhanced by proprietary digital solutions and ongoing investment in sustainable food innovation.
