Nature’s Fynd brings Spicy Indian Fy Bites to New York City bodegas through Plantega partnership

Nature’s Fynd has announced the launch of its Spicy Indian Fy Bites, expanding availability this month across New York City through a partnership with Plantega, a food platform that brings plant-based options to local bodegas. The launch brings a unique new product to the city’s convenience food scene, centered around Fy, the company’s proprietary fungi-based protein.

The new Fy Bites are falafel-style and made with Fy protein, a complete vegan protein derived from a microbe originally discovered in the geothermal springs of Yellowstone National Park. Each serving of Spicy Indian Fy Bites delivers 14g of protein, 5g of fiber, and one-third cup of vegetables. The bites are also vegan, certified gluten-free, and free from the Big 9 allergens.

Customers can order the Spicy Indian Fy Bites either in-store or through delivery platforms. In-store, the bites are served falafel-style with condiments such as Fabalish Vegan Mayo, hot sauce, or ketchup. On delivery apps, the bites come plated over rice with sautéed peppers and onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Fabalish Vegan Mayo.

Plantega, which operates in more than 50 bodegas across the city, focuses on making plant-based food accessible and familiar by offering in-demand vegan brands through corner store menus and delivery. The company’s partnership with Nature’s Fynd supports its mission of reimagining bodega menus with flavorful, plant-based meals.

In addition to the Fy Bites, Nature’s Fynd’s product range includes Dairy-Free Fy Yogurt and Meatless Fy Breakfast Patties, both of which are available at Whole Foods Market locations.

The Spicy Indian Fy Bites are the first of four Fy Bite flavors to launch, with Zesty Greek, Herby Thai, and Savory Italian varieties expected to appear in frozen sections at retail stores later this year.
