Juicy Marbles expands plant-based meat line with first-ever whole cut of pork

March 17, 2025

Juicy Marbles has introduced the latest addition to its Meaty Meat line, unveiling 'Pork-ish', the first whole cut of plant-based pork. Priced at US$10.00 per 6.4oz pack, Pork-ish is 26% more affordable per ounce than the most accessible cut in the company’s range.

The release of Pork-ish follows the success of Meaty Meat’s initial offering, Lamb-ish, which sold out within 24 hours in the USA in February. With its more adaptable flavor profile, Pork-ish aims to make plant-based whole cuts even more practical for everyday meals.

Meaty Meat was designed as a versatile, plant-based protein that functions as a kitchen staple, much like tofu. Juicy Marbles envisions Pork-ish as a go-to ingredient for home cooks, offering a quick seven-minute cook time, a convenient portion size, and an affordable price point. Unlike tofu, which has a neutral flavor and soft texture, Juicy Marbles’ proprietary approach delivers a juicy, meaty texture that can be sliced, shredded, or cooked whole.

“Mimicking real cuts too closely can limit their perceived versatility in the kitchen. That’s why we went deliberately ambiguous with Meaty Meat’s shape,” said Co-Founder Luka Sinček. “We wanted to give our customers more freedom while shifting the perception of plant-based whole cuts in general. By focusing only on what people love most about Marbles – meaty texture and flavor, and nothing else – we hope we can give people permission to experiment with whole cuts in all kinds of recipes.”

Meaty Meat: Pork-Ish is the latest product to use Juicy Marbles’ updated clean-label formulation, codenamed 'Marble 3.0'. The company is moving its entire product portfolio to this new recipe, which aims to improve the nutritional value of plant-based meats.

“We’ve always been frustrated by how light plant-based ‘alternatives’ can be on essential nutrients, like protein, iron, and B12,” commented Maj Hrovat, Co-Founder & R&D Chief. “Beyond taste and texture, people want nutritionally sensible food that helps them reach their daily nutrition goals and that they can cook for their families with confidence. If we want plant-based meats to be a viable alternative, they have to get close to matching the nutritional profile of meat – with a sensible ingredients list. Marble 3.0 is our cleanest, most nutritious recipe yet, and will be our standard going forward.”

Marble 3.0 consists of only nine ingredients, including water, and delivers 20g of protein per 100g with a complete amino acid profile. Free from thickeners, binders, preservatives, and GMOs, the recipe achieves a Nutri-Score of A while maintaining essential micronutrients such as iron, zinc, selenium, and B vitamins, including B12.

For customers in the USA and Canada, Meaty Meat: Pork-Ish has been available on Juicy Marbles’ web shop since 11 March 2025. Canadian customers can also purchase the product through Vegan Supply at vegansupply.ca. Vegan Supply is also running a 20% off sale on the products until 20 March. A retail launch for the USA, EU, and UK is still to be announced.

Juicy Marbles continues to push the boundaries of plant-based meats, making whole cuts more accessible and adaptable for home cooking. With Pork-ish, the company offers a new take on plant-based pork that allows for creativity in the kitchen without sacrificing taste or nutrition.
