Green Choice Proteins to enter US market with OneLavi launch
Australian plant-based nutrition company Green Choice Proteins has announced its first move into the US market, with its Australian-made protein powders set to become available through online health and wellness retailer OneLavi.
• Green Choice Proteins has announced plans to launch on OneLavi, marking the Australian plant nutrition company's first official entry into the US market.
• The initial range is expected to include three protein powders made with Australian-grown pea and faba proteins and omega-3 from linseed.
• Founder Puneet Chawla will introduce the brand to US retail buyers at ECRM's sports nutrition session in Florida from September 14-17.
The upcoming launch will give US consumers their first opportunity to buy Green Choice Proteins products and will serve as the starting point for a wider push into American retail and e-commerce channels.
"We're excited to make our official debut in the United States through OneLavi," said Puneet Chawla, Founder of Green Choice Proteins. "This is an important milestone for our company and the beginning of our long-term commitment to serving American consumers with Australian-made plant nutrition products built around quality ingredients, great taste, and everyday usability."
Founded in Victoria, Green Choice Proteins develops plant-based nutrition products manufactured in its home state using Australian-grown pulses.
Its formulations combine plant protein with additional nutritional ingredients rather than focusing solely on protein content. The company emphasizes clean-label formulations and does not use artificial colors, flavors or fillers.
The initial OneLavi range is expected to comprise chocolate, vanilla and salted caramel flavored protein powders.
The chocolate product contains 35.3g of plant protein per serving and is made with Australian-grown pea and faba proteins alongside cocoa powder, coconut milk powder and omega-3 from linseed.
The vanilla and salted caramel varieties each provide 34.9g of plant protein per serving and also incorporate omega-3 from linseed. Green Choice Proteins has developed the vanilla powder for uses including smoothies, oats and baking, while the salted caramel formulation combines the same Australian-grown pea and faba protein base with a flavored nutrition proposition.
The OneLavi debut forms the first part of a broader US expansion strategy. Green Choice Proteins is also preparing to participate in the 2026 ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session, which will take place in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, from September 14-17.
The event connects suppliers with buyers across health, specialty, food, drug and mass retail channels, giving the Australian company an opportunity to pursue additional distribution beyond its initial e-commerce launch.
"Launching on OneLavi marks an exciting milestone as we officially introduce Green Choice Proteins to American consumers," Chawla said. "It's the beginning of our U.S. journey, and we look forward to expanding our availability through additional retail and e-commerce channels in the months ahead."
The company has also made Australian sourcing a central part of its proposition. Its protein powders use locally grown pulses, while production takes place at a facility in Victoria.
Green Choice Proteins described responsible sourcing, manufacturing transparency and support for Australia's domestic plant protein industry as key parts of its approach.
Its US expansion comes as the company seeks to translate that Australian supply chain into a consumer-facing point of difference in a competitive sports and functional nutrition category.
Following the OneLavi launch and its meetings with buyers at ECRM, Green Choice Proteins plans to pursue further US retail and e-commerce opportunities as part of its longer-term expansion.
