Dry4Good secures US$5.8 million to expand precision-dried ingredient production tenfold

July 30, 2026

French food technology company Dry4Good has secured €5 million (US$5.8 million) in new investment to expand production of its precision-dried natural ingredients, increasing annual manufacturing capacity tenfold as demand grows for clean-label alternatives to conventional food ingredients.

Dry4Good secured €5 million (US$5.8 million) to expand its French production facility and increase annual capacity from 80 to 800 metric tons.
The company said its ambient-temperature drying technology preserved the flavor, color and nutritional qualities of fruits, vegetables and aromatic plants without additives.
The expansion included two new production lines and approximately 10 new jobs as commercial demand from international food manufacturers increased.

The funding will enable Dry4Good to increase annual production capacity from 80 metric tons to 800 metric tons at its facility in Cergy, near Paris. The expansion also includes two new production lines and the creation of around 10 new jobs.

Founded by Jean-Gabriel Dijoud and Romaric Janssen, Dry4Good has developed a proprietary ambient-temperature drying process designed to preserve the flavor, color, aroma and nutritional qualities of fruits, vegetables and aromatic plants. Unlike conventional high-temperature drying, which can degrade volatile aromatic compounds, pigments and vitamins, the company's process removes water using a controlled combination of physical and mechanical parameters while retaining much of the raw ingredient's natural characteristics.

The company said this allows food manufacturers to replace artificial colors, flavors and other additives with ingredients derived solely from fruits, vegetables and aromatic plants.

"One of the industry's longstanding challenges has been finding dry ingredients that can truly reproduce the sensory experience of fresh products," said Romaric Janssen, President and Co-Founder of Dry4Good. "Our technology allows manufacturers to use ingredients that deliver authentic flavor and color while helping them move away from artificial additives and highly processed formulations."

Dry4Good produces ingredients in powder, granule and inclusion formats for use across bakery, confectionery, beverages, chocolate, seasonings and prepared meals. The company said its ingredients retain sufficient intrinsic flavor and color to reduce the amount required in finished formulations while simplifying ingredient labels.

The company also develops natural aromatic solutions and natural coloring ingredients made exclusively from fruits, vegetables and aromatic plants.

Alongside its processing technology, Dry4Good sources most of its raw materials from farmers and cooperatives close to its production site. It also purchases fruit and vegetables that fall outside retail cosmetic standards but retain their nutritional and sensory qualities, providing an additional revenue stream for growers while reducing food waste.

The investment was led by the Île-de-France Reindustrialization Fund, financed by the Île-de-France Region with support from the European Union's European Regional Development Fund and managed by Innovacom-Turenne Groupe, alongside investors from the agri-food sector.

The expansion follows three years of commercial operation at the company's Cergy facility, during which Dry4Good said it validated its technology at industrial scale, supplied commercial volumes to food manufacturers and began development programs with several major international food companies.

The company said growing regulatory and consumer interest in simpler ingredient labels and reduced reliance on artificial additives was driving demand for natural ingredient solutions. According to figures cited by Dry4Good, the global natural food ingredients market was valued at US$21 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach US$32.7 billion by 2030.
