Döhler opens Mexico ingredient plant to expand Latin American production

August 18, 2026

Döhler Group has opened a new production plant in the State of Mexico, expanding its manufacturing and technical capabilities for natural ingredients and integrated food, beverage and nutrition solutions across Latin America.

Döhler opened the first phase of a new production facility at the Arco 57 Industrial Park in the State of Mexico.
The plant added regional production of flavors and ingredient systems alongside technical support and advanced analytical laboratory capabilities.
Döhler progressed plans for a second expansion phase that will add dedicated production facilities for natural colors.

The facility, located in the Arco 57 Industrial Park in San Francisco Soyaniquilpan de Juárez, represents the latest investment in Döhler's Latin American operations and is intended to bring production and product development capabilities closer to customers in Mexico and neighboring markets.

The first phase has been designed to manufacture flavors and ingredient systems for the food, beverage and life science and nutrition industries. Döhler described the site as a regional hub for science, technology and innovation as well as manufacturing.

The company has also progressed plans for a second phase of development at the site, which will include new facilities dedicated to natural color production. Döhler did not disclose the planned investment, capacity or timetable for the second phase.

The expansion comes as ingredient manufacturers respond to demand from food and beverage companies for naturally derived ingredients, cleaner labels and products designed around changing nutritional requirements.

For Döhler, establishing additional production capacity in Mexico also reduces the distance between its manufacturing operations and customers in the region.

The company expects the plant to support faster response and delivery times while improving logistics for customers across Mexico and Latin America. Specialized technical support and advanced analytical laboratories at the site will support production, quality control and the development of formulations tailored to individual customer and market requirements.

Local sourcing will form another part of the strategy. Döhler plans to use raw materials from the region and develop regional supply chains as it expands production in Mexico.

That approach could become increasingly important as food and beverage manufacturers seek shorter and more resilient ingredient supply chains while adapting formulations for individual markets.

Mexico has become an important manufacturing base for international food and ingredient companies serving both domestic and wider Americas markets. Döhler's latest investment gives the company additional local capacity while retaining technical and application-development functions alongside manufacturing.

The facility will serve customers developing products across food, beverages and nutrition, including applications requiring flavor systems and other integrated ingredient solutions. The planned addition of natural color manufacturing will broaden the range of ingredients that can be produced locally.

Döhler linked the investment to changing consumer and regulatory requirements across the Americas, including increased attention to nutritional profiles, ingredient transparency and products made using ingredients from natural sources.

The company has not provided financial details for the project but described Mexico as a strategic market within its long-term growth plans for Latin America.

With the first phase now operational and further manufacturing capacity planned, the site gives Döhler a larger regional platform for ingredient production, technical support and customer product development.
