Bizerba showcasing data-driven protein processing solutions at IFFA 2025
Bizerba is currently presenting a suite of intelligent, future-oriented solutions at IFFA 2025 in Frankfurt, running from May 3 to May 8. Under the theme 'Rethinking Meat & Proteins', the company will demonstrate how its technologies can optimize the processing of both traditional meat and alternative proteins across the entire production value chain. Visitors can find Bizerba at Hall 12.1, Stand A61.
The German company’s exhibition will focus on four strategic areas: enhancing production efficiency, harnessing data for real-time decision-making, supporting environmentally responsible production, and improving flexibility in handling varied product types.
Fred Köhler, Managing Director of Bizerba’s Business Unit Industry, said the company’s offerings at this year’s IFFA aim to show how integrated systems can drive performance. “With our solutions at IFFA 2025, we demonstrate how cutting-edge technology can make our customers’ production processes more efficient,” he said. “From precise inspection systems and automated packaging solutions to sustainable labelling – our portfolio offers integrated systems that boost efficiency and ensure the highest quality standards.”
At the center of Bizerba’s display will be its automated end-of-line solution, which will be running live at the booth. This scalable system combines inspection, labelling, and handling technologies into one intelligent and seamless operation. The end-of-line setup is powered by Bizerba’s proprietary BRAIN2 software platform, which allows centralized monitoring and control, supports overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) analysis, and enables real-time processing of production orders.
In the area of product safety, Bizerba will unveil its LeakSecure device, designed to detect even minor leaks in packaging non-destructively and in real time. When paired with the SealSecure inspection system, producers can achieve full inspection coverage for package tightness and seal quality. This dual-layer approach is intended to help manufacturers minimize food waste and reduce the risk of customer complaints by improving packaging integrity.
Sustainability also features prominently in Bizerba’s offering. Its CleanCut Linerless technology is one of several examples the company will showcase to demonstrate reductions in material usage and waste generation. According to Bizerba, these sustainable labelling solutions do not sacrifice performance or aesthetic quality.
Bizerba will also highlight advances in slicing and weighing systems that reduce product giveaway while maximizing operational efficiency. These solutions are particularly suitable for small and medium-sized producers who require flexible equipment that can adapt to various production needs.
Alongside hardware, Bizerba is promoting its digital and service capabilities. One of the showcased offerings is the Bizerba Monitoring Cloud, which supports predictive maintenance strategies. This system is designed to reduce unplanned downtime and support continuous production. In addition, the company will feature an augmented reality (AR) tool to facilitate more efficient maintenance and remote support, making it easier for operators to resolve technical issues.
The company’s portfolio is designed to meet the evolving needs of protein processors, whether working with conventional meat or newer plant-based and alternative protein products. By offering systems that combine precision engineering with smart software, Bizerba aims to support customers in achieving safer, more sustainable, and more efficient operations.
IFFA 2025 is expected to draw stakeholders from across the global meat and protein industry. Bizerba’s stand will feature working systems, demonstrations, and staff on hand to discuss tailored solutions.
